A Pilgrimage to the Mountains

Returning from my yearly pilgrimage to the mountains, I’m filled with an overwhelming and deeply satisfying sense of peace and inner well-being. As I reflect on the immersive experience, I’m in awe of nature’s ability to restore, rejuvenate, and heal—mind, body, and spirit.

Moving from mountain peak to mountain peak, the rhythm of the journey becomes a form of meditation. With each step, there’s space to process the pains and challenges of life. The steady motion seems to invite my body to release what it’s been holding, creating room for renewal. At this stage of my life, this feels more necessary than ever. From that release, new possibilities begin to emerge.

Moments like these are the reason movement in nature has always been at the heart of what Angela, my wife, and I created in 2014: The 4-Day Reboot. It’s not simply a feel-good experience—it’s an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and take meaningful steps toward lasting positive change.

I’m deeply grateful to share this work alongside Angela, both my partner in life and in this offering. Her passion for clean eating, local agriculture, soil care, and heirloom, nutrient-rich plants complements my own growing understanding of the healing power of presence—of reconnecting to ourselves through movement in nature. Together, these elements come alive for our guests at our California seaside location, where many experience their own sense of renewal and clarity.

We invite you to step into this experience with us—where the mountains meet the sea. Wander through our micro-garden, take in the vastness of the horizon, and leave the weight of daily life behind. Return feeling more energized, more grounded, and more connected to yourself.

This is our hope for you—and the reason we created this space: to support your journey forward.
