There’s a Lot of Information Out There
There’s a lot of information out there.
What to eat. How to move. What supplements to take. How much. How little.
Much of it is helpful. Some of it has genuinely moved us toward healthier, happier, longer lives. But over the years, what I’ve noticed—both in my own life and in the people who come to The Coast Ridge—is that information alone rarely creates lasting change.
The real question most of us are asking isn’t What should I do?
It’s How do I make this fit into my life?
That’s where things get interesting.
One Step at a Time
We all know the phrase one step at a time. It can sound cliché, but it’s also the truth. Real change doesn’t happen all at once. It happens incrementally. Each positive step builds on the one before it. We don’t start from zero—we build on what’s already there.
And sometimes, the most important step is stepping away.
I’ve found that there are moments in life when progress doesn’t come from pushing harder, adding more, or optimizing further. It comes from creating space. From pausing long enough to hear yourself think again. From giving the body and mind a chance to reset.
That’s where the idea behind the 4 Day Reboot came from.
Why We Created the 4 Day Reboot
Angela and I didn’t create the 4 Day Reboot as a new system or a set of rules. We created it as a pause. A place where people can clean out the noise, refocus, rebuild strength, and experience—through simplicity—what it actually feels like to live differently.
During the Reboot, you’re not just learning about lifestyle change. You’re living it. You’re moving through nature daily. You’re eating simply and well. You’re resting deeply. And most importantly, you’re giving yourself enough space for clarity to return.
I see it as a moment to clean the slate—so implementing change back home feels possible instead of overwhelming.
There Isn’t One Answer—But There Is Balance
There’s no single answer that fits the diversity of human needs. What works for one person may not work for another. But I do believe there are environments that help bring us back into balance—places that quietly support regeneration of self.
For those living in the Bay Area, The Coast Ridge is close enough to reach easily, yet far enough away to feel like a true reset. It’s a place where the coastal mountains meet the sea, and where time slows just enough for something real to shift.
Over a few days, you get to live the lifestyle change instead of just thinking about it. And with each step—each hike, each meal, each moment of rest—your resolve strengthens.
An Anchoring Point, Not a Prescription
The 4 Day Reboot isn’t about doing everything differently. It’s not about perfection. It’s an anchoring point—a moment in time that helps you reconnect with your own path toward feeling healthier, stronger, and more at ease in your body.
We created this experience because we genuinely care about holding space for that pause. The simplicity is intentional. And often, that simplicity is what creates the “aha” moment—one that people can build on using whatever health-affirming practices resonate most with them afterward.
A Space That Makes Change Easier to Take Home
The home itself is part of the experience. It’s warm, inviting, and intentionally designed to support reflection and restoration.
Here, people reconnect with clean, nourishing food—and with where and how that food is grown. They reconnect with nature. They reconnect with themselves. And almost always, there’s a deep appreciation for what the body is capable of when given the right conditions to reset.
My hope is that the strength gained, the lighter feeling, the renewed sense of self-trust, and the inspiration for simpler living come home with you—making lifestyle change feel aligned rather than forced.
Rebooting What’s Possible
This space was created to help reboot what’s possible—whatever path you’re on, or whatever path you’re quietly considering stepping into next.
So I’ll leave you with a question I often ask myself:
What does regeneration of self—and even regeneration at the cellular level—mean to you?
If you’ve been feeling the pull to pause, to step away, and to reset—perhaps that’s your next step.
One step at a time.
